It’s always good to save your best for last, especially in high school cross country. That’s what Trigg County senior John Chinn did Saturday at the Class 2A State Cross Country Meet at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. Chinn ran a personal best time of 19:39 to finish 149th overall. He ran a sub-seven minute mile throughout the race in achieving his time, which was 14 seconds better than his state meet run last year.
