Trinity Cavanaugh got tired of sitting around the house, so she got out and ran. And the Trigg County seventh grader has made the most of it. Trinity finished 86th at the Class 2A State Cross Country Meet Saturday in Lexington and was Trigg’s second runner to cross the finish line.
The granddaughter of former two-time Trigg County individual state champion Sam “Fox” Love also suffers from asthma, which caused her to stop at one point in the race. Her time of 8:09 in the third mile was the fastest on the Lady Wildcat team and faster than six runners than finished ahead of her.
