The Trigg County girls’ soccer team posted a 12-6-2 record in 2017, including a 5th District championship, their first since 2014. The Lady Wildcats scored 103 goals while only allowing 50, and beat Webster County in the first round of the 2nd Region Tournament before falling to eventual runner-up Caldwell County in the semifinals.
The Lady Wildcats lose 7 seniors, including 5 starters, but return junior leading scorer Madisen Ireland who notched 37 goals for the season. Ireland was also tied for the team lead in assists with 10, matching junior Brittany Kelly. Junior goalkeeper Julia Rhone will be back in goal after recording 5 shutouts in 2017.
