Here are the final YourSportsEdge.com 2nd Region girls’ soccer rankings.

 

1. Henderson County Lady Colonels (12-5-2)

The Lady Colonels faced competition outside the region for their last two matches of the regular season, losing 5-1 at Greenwood (17-2-1) and 2-0 against visiting Owensboro Catholic (16-1-2).  Henderson will play in the 6th District championship in Dixon on Tuesday against the winner of the Union County (10-6-1) and Webster County (7-9) semifinal.

 

2. University Heights Academy Lady Blazers (13-3)

The Lady Blazers were dominant in the last week of the regular season, going on the road and crushing Madisonville-North Hopkins 8-1, and blanking Fort Campbell 10-0 at home.  On Tuesday, UHA will open the 8th District tournament against Christian County (5-12-1) at the Stadium of Champions.

 

3. Caldwell County Lady Tigers (11-9-1)

Caldwell County cruised to a 10-0 mercy rule victory at Crittenden County (4-10-1) to start last week, before going on the road to Murray and losing 2-1 to the Calloway County Lady Lakers (10-7).  The Lady Tigers wrapped up the regular season with a nice 2-1 win over McCracken County (12-9) at Butler Stadium.  Caldwell will play in the 7th District championship in Morton’s Gap on Thursday against the winner of the Madisonville-North Hopkins vs. Hopkins County Central semifinal.

 

4. Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons (9-5-4)

The Lady Maroons split two games in the last week of the regular season, losing at home 8-1 to UHA (13-3) and winning 4-0 over the visiting Trigg County Lady Wildcats (10-5-2).  Madisonville faces Hopkins County Central (11-5-2) in the first round of the 7th District tournament on Monday in Morton’s Gap.

 

5. Hopkins County Central Lady Storm (11-5-2)

The Lady Storm were busy during the last week, going 2-1 to close out the regular season.  Hopkins Central tied 2-2 with the visiting Todd County Central Lady Rebels (9-5-2), before going on the road to McLean County (1-14-2) and winning 6-1 and getting a 2-1 win over the visiting Owensboro Lady Devils (6-11-2).  The Lady Storm host Madisonville-North Hopkins (9-5-4) in the first round of the 7th District tournament on Monday.

 

6. Fort Campbell Lady Falcons (6-11)

After a late season resurgence, the Lady Falcons ended the regular season on a down note, falling 10-0 on post to the University Heights Academy Lady Blazers (13-3).  Fort Campbell will face the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers (5-10-1) on Tuesday at the Stadium of Champions in the first round of the 8th District tournament.

 

7. Hopkinsville Lady Tigers (5-10-1)

The Lady Tigers should be well rested for their 8th District first round match-up with Fort Campbell (6-11) on Tuesday, after not playing last week.

 

8. Trigg County Lady Wildcats (10-5-2)

The Lady Wildcats split a pair of matches in the last week of the season, winning 6-0 at Mayfield (1-16-1) and losing 4-0 at Madisonville-North Hopkins (9-5-4).  Trigg County will play in the 5th District championship on Tuesday in Crittenden County against the winner of Crittenden (4-10-1) and Lyon County (6-11-2).

 

9. Webster County Lady Trojans (7-9)

The Lady Trojans move up a spot from last week after posting two wins to wrap up their regular season slate.  Webster won 3-0 at home over Lyon County (6-11-2) and followed that with a 5-1 home win over Todd County Central (9-5-2).  The Lady Trojans host Union County (10-6-1) in Dixon on Monday in the first round of the 6th District tournament.  The winner will face Henderson County (12-5-2) on Tuesday in the championship.

 

10. Union County Bravettes (10-6-1)

Union County drops a spot after beginning last week with a 7-0 road win over the Mayfield Lady Cardinals (1-16-1), before suffering a surprise 2-1 loss at Lyon County (6-11-2).  Union County square off with Webster County on Monday in Dixon in the first round of the 6th District tournament.

 

11. Christian County Lady Colonels (5-12-1)

The Lady Colonels turned it on toward the end of the season, winning 4 of their last 6 before a 0-0 draw with the visiting Muhlenberg County Lady Mustangs (8-8-3) in the last match of the season.  Christian County is hosting the 8th District tournament and will face UHA (13-3) in the first round on Tuesday.

 

12. Lyon County Lady Lyons (6-11-2)

The Lady Lyons went 2-1 last week, losing 3-0 at Webster County (7-9), before winning 2-0 over visiting Ballard Memorial (3-11-1) and 2-1 over Union County (10-6-1) in Eddyville.  On tap for the Lady Lyons is the 4th meeting with the Crittenden County Lady Rockets, this time in the first round of the 5th District tournament in Marion on Monday.

 

13. Crittenden County Lady Rockets (4-10-1)

The Lady Rockets lost their only match last week, a 10-0 setback at Caldwell County (11-9-1) that leaves Crittenden with a 6 game winless streak to end the regular season.  The Lady Rockets host Lyon County (6-11-2) in the first round of the 5th District tournament on Monday.
