To say the teams in the 7th District boys soccer tournament look close on paper would be a bit of an understatement. Caldwell County, Hopkins Central, and Madisonville, all have 8 wins on the season.

All three teams also have one draw on the season. The only difference record-wise is Hopkins Central has only seven losses, while both Madisonville and Caldwell County have eight.

The Maroons enter the tournament as the top seed by virtue of a 4-1 win over Caldwell County and a 4-0 win over Hopkins Central. So the Maroons wait til Thursday to see who they will play for the district championship.

Caldwell County enters as the #2 seed by virtue of a shootout win over Hopkins Central, September 19th at Mortons Gap.

Madisonville would appear to be the favorite, but with things this close on paper, you just never know. The tournament gets underway Monday night at 7:30 at Hopkins Central, when the Tigers and the Storm square off
