Tilghman Rolls Over Trigg County 56-7

Paducah Tilghman rolled up 361 rushing yards and scored eight rushing touchdowns in a 56-7 rout of Trigg County Friday at McRight Field in Paducah.

Trigg County did not help their cause by throwing four interceptions, two of which were returned deep into Tilghman territory.

Mikel Askew ran for 72 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries. Quarterback Jordan Harmon added 79 yards rushing and 46 passing as the Tornado rolled up 407 yards of offense.

Deven Ford added 93 yards on just two carries, including a 39-yard touchdown.

While Tilghman was rolling up over 400 yards of offense, Trigg County’s offense managed just 78 yards, including minus-four yards in the first half. The Wildcat run game was held under 20 yards for the second straight game.

Tilghman ran out to a 36-0 lead by halftime, outgaining Trigg County 259 to minus four and assuring a running clock for the second half.

Trigg County’s lone score came on an 11-yard pass from Cam Jordan to Jakobe Bridges with 10:51 left in the game. Jordan finished the game 9-of-18 for 62 yards and three interceptions.

Paducah Tilghman (2-5, 1-1) has a bye week next week.

Trigg County is now 0-8 all-time against Paducah Tilghman and have been outscored 208-14 in their last four trips to Paducah.  The Wildcats (4-3, 1-1) will host Caldwell County next Friday in the annual 139 Bowl at Perdue Field.
