The 2017 Colonel Showcase saw a win and a loss for the Christian County Lady Colonels Saturday. In their opening match of the day, Christian County got a first half goal from freshman Alexus Hendrix and made it stand up for a 1-0 win over Logan County. It was the second time this season that Christian County beat the Lady Cougars 1-0 at the Stadium of Champions.
In their second contest of the day, the Lady Colonels ran into a buzz saw in the form of the Calloway County Lady Lakers and sophomore Zoe Stom. Stom had three goals in the first half and then added two more in the seconds half, as Calloway County rolled to an 8-0 win.
With the split on the day, the Christian County Lady Colonels now stand at 3-11 on the season, and get ready to host Lyon County on Tuesday.
