If the Austin Peay Governors keep this up for long, “the streak” will soon be a distant memory. After suffering through seasons of frustration, the Governors made it two wins in a row Saturday as they handled Murray State 27-7 at Roy Stewart Stadium. For those who thought that ASPU’s first win in nearly three seasons was simply a result of playing a very bad Morehead State team, they may have to re-think their views of this edition of the Governors.
Sophomore quarterback JaVaughn Craig rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown, while the Governor defense held Murray State to less than 100 yards total offense.
