Second Region Volleyball Rankings (Week Six)

1) Henderson County (11-5) – The Lady Colonels dispatched of #3 Madisonville in straight sets last week. However, they suffered a straight-set loss to state-ranked McCracken County. They will face stiff competition again this weekend when they play in the Kentucky Challenge at Paul Laurence Dunbar.

2) Caldwell County (12-6) – Caldwell County went advanced to the quarterfinals of the All-A Classic State Tournament but fell in a close three-set match to Kentucky Country Day. The Lady Tigers return to district play this week with matches against #9 Hopkins County Central and #3 Madisonville.

3) Madisonville (9-3) – The Lady Maroons lost in straight sets to top-ranked Henderson County, although they scored 56 points in the three sets. They have matches with #5 Webster County and #2 Caldwell County.

4) Hopkinsville (6-5) – The Lady Tigers have won four straight matches and have contests this week with #8 Christian County, #11 Trigg County, and first-region contender Christian Fellowship.

5) Webster County (8-5) – The Lady Trojans moved up a tic thanks to a straight-set win over Christian County. They were hammered by top-ranked Henderson County as well. They have matches with #7 University Heights and #3 Madisonville this week.

6) Livingston Central (14-4) – The Lady Cardinals have won eight straight matches, including wins last week over Hickman County and Crittenden County. The Lady Cardinals do not have any scheduled matches remaining with teams ranked ahead of them in the region.

7) University Heights (4-4) – The Lady Blazers got back into the swing of things with a win over Fort Campbell but surprisingly dropped a five-set match to #11 Trigg County. UHA will play #5 Webster County, #10 Crittenden County, and #12 Fort Campbell this week.

8) Christian County (5-13) – Christian County dropped a few spots thanks to a straight-set loss to #5 Webster County. They have one match this week against #4 Hopkinsville.

9) Hopkins County Central (7-5) – The Lady Storm have won four straight matches after losing three straight. Hopkins Central plays #2 Caldwell County and #11 Trigg County this week.

10) Crittenden County (3-8) – Crittenden County lost to #6 Livingston Central in the straight sets in their only match of the week. They play #7 UHA and #5 Webster County this week.

11) Trigg County (5-5) – Trigg County should be well rested, having played just 10 matches this year. The Lady Wildcats knocked off #7 UHA last week and have a chance to move up in the rankings this week with matches against #9 Hopkins County Central, #6 Livingston Central, and #4 Hopkinsville.

12) Fort Campbell (2-15) – The Lady Falcons have dropped five straight matches entering the week. They should get a win Monday against Russellville.

13) Union County (3-14) – Union County has lost all 10 of their matches with Second Region teams and 10 straight overall. They could snap that Monday against Whitesville Trinity.
