The University Heights Academy Blazers’ soccer team picked up their third win of the season, all by shutout, beating the winless Ballard Memorial Bombers 10-0 Thursday night.
Senior midfielder Taylor Daniel and sophomore midfielder Tanner Thomas led the way with 3 goals each, with sophomore midfielder Ian Calvert notching 2 goals and 3 assists. Junior defender Simon East had 2 goals to round out the Blazer scoring, and Thomas also added an assist. Junior goalkeeper Daniel Johnson recorded his third shutout of the season.
The Blazers, ranked 7th in the YourSportsEdge.com 2nd Region rankings, host the 1-9 Grayson County Cougars on Saturday at Givens Field.
