The University Heights Academy Blazers (2-3-1) took an early 2-0 lead on the road at Paducah Tilghman, but couldn’t hold on and lost 3-2 on a last second goal.
Junior midfielder Ian Calvert scored four minutes in, and senior midfielder Taylor Daniel added a goal on a penalty kick to give the Blazers a 2-0 first half lead, but the Tornado cut the lead in half right before the break.
The second half was back and forth, with Paducah Tilghman equalizing and a draw looking certain. But Tilghman had other plans, blasting in a shot from 30 yards with only seconds remaining to claim the victory.
The Blazers return to action on Saturday, hosting 1-8 Grayson County.
