The Caldwell County volleyball team, ranked 2nd in the latest YourSportsEdge.com rankings, beat the 8th ranked UHA Blazers 3-0 to defend its 2nd Region All “A” championship. The Lady Tigers won 25-13, 25-16, and 25-18 to propel themselves into the All “A” State Tournament.
Caldwell County advanced to the title game with a 25-10, 25-10, 25-16 win over Livingston Central in the semifinals. UHA advanced to the title match with a 25-17, 25-20, 25-14 win over Crittenden County.
Caldwell next takes the court Thursday on the road against 3rd ranked Madisonville-North Hopkins, while UHA will take on district rival Christian County also on Thursday.
