
Play continues in the Second Region All-A Classic Soccer Tournament that began Saturday in Princeton. The boys’ tournament will be held at University Heights Academy, with a Tuesday semifinal match pitting Lyon County (1-1) and Fort Campbell (1-2) at 6pm. The winner will play Caldwell County (2-1-1) in the championship game Thursday at 6pm at Given Field.
The girls’ tournament continues Tuesday night at Butler Stadium in Princeton. UHA (2-0) plays Fort Campbell (0-2) at 5:30pm in one semifinal, while Crittenden County (0-1) and Lyon County (0-3) meet at 7pm. Tuesday’s winners meet in the championship game Thursday at 7pm at Butler Stadium. UHA will be gunning for their ninth straight girls’ All-A region title and looking to advance to their first All-A state tournament since 2013. Lyon County last won a region title in 2008.
Brackets were adjusted last month when Dawson Springs announced they were not fielding neither a boys’ nor girls’ soccer teams this year.
