University Heights got off to a fast start in their volleyball season opener but couldn’t sustain their success and fell to Hopkins County Central in four sets Tuesday in Morton’s Gap. The Lady Storm won 21-25, 25-19, 25-12, 25-18. It was the first time since a loss to Christian County last August that UHA dropped a four-set match in which they had won the opening set.
UHA still leads the all-time series with Hopkins Central 5-4.
The Lady Blazers are back in action next Tuesday in the All-A Classic Region Tournament when they host Crittenden County at Blazer Gym.
