Heritage Christian Academy continues to roll along in KCAA play with a 25-7, 25-13 win over Highland Latin Tuesday.
HCA used the serving efficiency of Skyler Crisp, Allie Schluckenbier, and Allie Maternowski along with the defensive play of middle blocker Anna Waldron and libero Alyvia Stokes and hustle of Rachel West to jump out to early leads in both sets.
“We played pretty well as a team. (We had) good communication and defensive coverage and a strong offensive attack. I was pleased,” Head Coach Eldridge Rogers said.
If there was a down note from the match, Rogers said sophomore defensive ace Meredith Crunk suffered an ankle injury and may miss some time.
“Maybe the Eclipse will help her in healing,” Rogers quipped.
HCA improves to 8-2 with the win and will travel to Pleasant View, TN Thursday.
HCA won the JV match 21-20 and 21-13 to extend their record to 2-1.
