The Falcons of Ft. Campbell posted a 7-10-1 record in 2016, including a 4-6 record in the region and a 2-3 mark in district play. Ft. Campbell made a run to the 8th District championship game after a thrilling, shootout win in the semifinal against Christian County. After losing 6-0 to Hopkinsville in the district championship, the Falcons drew Madisonville North Hopkins in the regional quarterfinals, where their season ended with a 3-0 loss. Coach Alex Romero enters his 5th season after seeing five seniors graduate from the program.
All 8th District and 2nd leading scorer Jackson Sewell (5 goals, 1 assist) and goalkeeper Ripken Stork (5 shutouts) are two of the biggest losses. The Falcons do return their leading scorer, All 8th District selection, senior Atta Anzoua, who scored 6 goals and had 3 assists along with another All 8th District Team member, Rafael Cerritos.
Traditionally, the Falcons open the season with Trigg County and will kick off 2017 hosting the Wildcats on post at Fryer Stadium. Ft. Campbell will be looking to avenge a close 3-2 loss in Cadiz that began the 2016 season. The Falcons do not have any in-season tournaments scheduled for the upcoming season.
