The women’s volleyball team at Murray State University has been recognized for its prowess in the classroom. The MSU volleyball team received the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award for the 2016-17 academic year.
The Racers had a cumulative team GPA of 3.6 during the school year. The award, which began in the 1992-93 academic year, honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 team GPA.
