Madisonville senior Kaylee Tow was named Kentucky Miss Softball Sunday by the Kentucky Softball Coaches Association. The University of Alabama signee hit .627 for the Lady Maroons this year in helping them win their first state softball title Saturday with a 5-3 win over Male.
Tow hit 23 home runs and knocked in 64 runs. Entering the state tournament, 41 of her 69 hits went for extra bases.
Tow joins Christian County’s Griffin Joiner as Second Region players named Miss Softball since 2011.
